After 41 years at Camgrain, Philip Darke has decided to step down from his role as Operations Director and leave the business for new challenges.
Philip has been instrumental in the development of Camgrain from its first store at Linton to becoming one of the largest co-operative grain stores in the UK. In recent years Philip has been central to the construction of Navara, Europe’s largest and most technically advanced oat processing plant.
Philip has worked tirelessly to ensure first-class service delivery for Camgrain’s members and customers, and it is a testament to him that he leaves the business equipped with the personnel and infrastructure to continue to meet those high service delivery levels. Philip will be missed by the business and Camgrain will remain grateful for his work. However, both Camgrain and Philip are excited by future opportunities and, although no longer part of the same business, mutual respect and support will be a key part of the way ahead.
With harvest not far away, we have agreed that Philip will leave with immediate effect in order that Camgrain can ensure the people and structures are in place to maintain the high service levels that Philip has instilled in the business over the last 40 years.
Kind regards,
Carl Driver
