Sustainability

Many of our members are practising sustainable farming methods to suit the more environmentally focused, climate conscious society today. Camgrain works closely alongside major cereal providers, Nestle, who are collaborating on striving for 0% environmental impact in operations. Working predominantly in East Anglia and the East Midlands, we source all of our crops from local farmers and, where possible, ensure our trucks are never empty, reducing wasted journeys and emissions. In light of the Net Zero target set by government in 2020, Camgrain is proud to be encouraging and supporting our farmer members to start incorporating regenerative and conservation farming, min/no till farming and cover crops. In January 2020, we set up an Environment Project Group with some of our members and staff, to consider ways Camgrain can implement a reduction of our carbon footprint. Our Stratford-Upon-Avon site is also strategically positioned  next to one of our partner's, Yelo, who process OSR from our farmer members using innovative methods to reduce waste production.
